The highly anticipated Blue Startup Pitching Competition, aimed at recognizing innovation and disruptive initiatives within the market, has now announced its 5 finalists and the distinguished panel of 10 experts who will serve as judges.
The Blue Startup Pitching Competition promises to be the flagship event of The Balearic Superyacht Forum, organized by the Balearic Marine Cluster and The Superyacht Group.
Marking the culmination of the Forum’s discussions and conference program, the competition will take place on April 25th at 15:00h, showcasing dynamic presentations from Spain’s most promising projects in the blue economy sector.
The deadline for applications has already closed, and after a successful and notable registration of projects, the 5 finalist startups have been announced: Keep Boat Afloat, Safetycraft, Searebbel, Seawex, Toroi Marine.
These startups will have the opportunity to pitch their projects in a 5-minute elevator pitch to an audience of over 300 potential investors, forum attendees, and a select group of experts comprising the jury.
The esteemed jury consists of 10 seasoned professionals with extensive experience in the business world and a profound understanding of innovation. Together with the audience, they will assess and evaluate the proposals to determine the ultimate winner.

- Ms. Gabriella Richardson, Founder & CEO of Yachting Ventures
- Mr. Omar Beidas, Cap de Servei de la Direcció General d’Innovació
- Mr. Carlos Alonso, CEO of ATMOSPHERE at WDNA
- Mr. Albert Puigferrat, Head of New Business Development and VC at Agbar Group
- Mr. Henry Hooper, CEO & Co-Founder at Metarina
- Mr. Jose Antonio Caldés, Director Genarl de la Direcció General d’Empresa, Autònoms i Comerç
- Mr. Pere Jiménez, Cap de servei d’ Informació i Talent Empresarial del IDI
The jury will evaluate various aspects such as the project’s disruptive nature, its significance in addressing pertinent issues, positive environmental impact, the viability of the business model, and scalability.
The winning startup will be awarded a €5,000 cash prize along with a booth at the Palma International Boat Show 2025, twelve months subscription to the Balearic Marine Cluster and Yachting Ventures, and twelve months of mentoring through the acceleration program of the General Directorate of Business of the CAIB.
